AT THE CORE meditation is a living practice that grows with you. We draw on timeless wisdom from Yoga, Ayurveda, breathwork, mantra and mindfulness, then shape it into something personal and practical. Some days you’ll simply focus on your breath, other days you’ll settle into silent stillness with others – no lotus pose is required, just your presence.
Every session is gently guided and grounded in the present moment, so you feel safe, comfortable and supported from the very first breath. With experienced teachers, small classes and individualized attention, your practice deepens naturally, whether you join us in our North London studio or online.

What To Expect In a Meditation Class
A typical 90-minute class begins with a few moments to arrive and settle in, followed by a brief check-in or gentle movement to release tension. You will then be guided through breathwork and mindfulness exercises before moving into seated meditation. Chairs and cushions are available if needed.
We finish with a few minutes of restful reflection. You are welcome exactly as you are, with room for questions, simple props on hand, and expert guidance whether you join us in North London or via Zoom. There is no need to “get it right,” only to feel at ease.

Do I need any experience to join a meditation class?
No experience is needed. We guide each session gently and support you at every step.
What should I bring to a meditation class?
Just yourself. We have chairs, cushions, and everything else you might need. You’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Dress in layers.
What if I can’t sit still or focus?
You’re not alone. Meditation is a practice, not a performance. We offer techniques to help settle your body and mind gradually, with kindness.
I have trouble quieting my mind. Will this still work for me?
Yes. In fact, those who feel restless or scattered often benefit the most. You don’t need to stop your thoughts—just learn how to relate to them differently.
What happens in a typical class?
Each meditation session includes breath awareness, guided meditation, and time for stillness. You’ll be supported throughout.
Can I try a class before committing?
Yes. You’re welcome to try a single meditation class and see how it feels. No pressure to sign up for more.
How long are the classes?
Each meditation class is 90 minutes. Special workshops or seasonal sessions may be longer or shorter.
What if I feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed?
We hold space gently. You can take breaks, ask questions, or rest when needed. Nothing is forced. You’ll always have support.
I’m not sure which of your Meditation Classes would be best for me?
If you are looking to gain experience and support in strengthening your practice, we would suggest our Yoga and Meditation class.
If you are interested to learning a Meditation practice and understanding how the workings of the mind can support and challenge that practice, we would suggest our Meditation and the Mind class.
Can I attend my Meditation Class online?
All our Meditation Classes have online and in-person options.
You can join the class live online via zoom.
If you’d prefer to join a Meditation Class live in our studio in London Ontario, it is best to register early as spaces are limited. In person students are also welcome to join online if the weather is bad or you wish to practice from home one week.
What if I need additional support once the 6-week session of Meditation Classes is over?
Any AT THE CORE meditation student is always welcome to contact us for Meditation support, checking or inspiration. We are committed to your strong and stable meditation practice.
Many students find taking our Meditation classes more than once helps to strengthen and motivate an existing practice. There is always something new to learn and like-minded community is uplifting.
